Emerging Leaders begins with a two-night, three-day retreat in the mountains of Colorado followed by four half-day morning sessions on consecutive Fridays taking place on the University of Denver campus.

Daniels faculty teach from experience as well as textbooks. Most are leaders who have steered major corporations, organizations and business initiatives, and many are internationally consulted, business professionals.
Beverly Obenchain has served on the University of Denver adjunct faculty since 1980. She collaborates with her colleagues at Daniels College of Business to deliver innovative and powerful academic and non-academic programs in leadership, strategy, communications, change management, project management and finance.
Dr. Graham specializes in leadership development, executive coaching, teamwork, organizational communications, conflict management and strategy design to optimize organizational success.
Dr. Robert Melvin teaches in the Economics, Applied Communication, EMBA programs, and a number of undergraduate and graduate courses at the University of Denver.

The format of the course (three intensive days at the Nature Place, followed by four half-day class sessions) works very well. It was just long enough to get a substantive amount of content, but not too long that I could not balance working full-time and taking the class at the same time. Furthermore, the principles and skills I learned in the course are ones that I can (and have) immediately put to use in my daily work.
